Meet Ai- Da, the creatural robot whose oil of Alan Turing vended for over Rs 9 crore

A portrayal of Alan Turing, considered one of the fathers of Artificial Intelligence( AI), brought over a million bones at a recent art transaction. The catch? It was painted by Ai- Da, the world’s first creatural robot artist.

The oil, which depicts Turing as the god of AI, entered a aggregate of 27 flings and was ultimately vended to an anonymous buyer in the US, according to a report by The New York Times.

What do we know about Ai- Da?
Ai- Da has been named after Ada Lovelace, a 19th century mathematician conceded as the world’s first computer programmer. The creatural robot was developed in 2019 by Aidan Meller, a former gallery proprietor and expert at ultramodern art, along with a platoon of 30 people, including AI experimenters from Oxford and Birmingham universities in the UK.

How did Ai- Da produce the portrayal?
Coming to the factual oil of the portrayal, Ai- Da first analyse one of Turing’s prints and reportedly made around 15 different oils of colorful corridor of his face. Three of those pictures as well as a oil of a decryption machine used by Turing were also scrutinized and uploaded to a computer.
